As 7News celebrates the third day of Nurses Week, we salute the men and women of VHC Health in Northern Virginia.
Virginia Hospital Center was one of several Northern Virginia hospitals to receive high marks in the Spring 2022 Hospital Safety Grades report released Tuesday by The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit health care watchdog group.
VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, was awarded an “A” in the spring 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing VHC Health’s achievements in patient safety. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety.
Virginia Hospital Medical Center, a community-based hospital system headquartered in Arlington, is kicking off rebranding efforts and will now be known as VHC Health, joining other organizations that have rebranded in an effort to retain or attract new market share.
It began life in the 1940s as Arlington Hospital, then in the 1990s became Virginia Hospital Center. And now, to note its regional scope and impact, the non-profit hospital association has rebranded to “VHC Health.”
