Paperless Billing

We appreciate your trust in VHC Health for your healthcare needs. We're committed to making your entire experience more secure, convenient, and eco-friendly. That's why we transitioned to paperless billing.

Here's What You Need to Know

  • Automatic enrollment: If you have an email address or cellphone number saved to your account, you are automatically enrolled to receive paperless billing.

  • “New Statement” notification: Instead of receiving paper statements in the mail, you'll get notifications when you have a new statement based on your established communication preferences. If you have not provided an email address or cellphone number, you will receive a paper statement by mail.

  • Access to statements: The “New Statement” notification will include links to “Make a Payment” and “View Balance Details.” You will be prompted to verify your identity to view this information.

  • Printing paper copies: If you need a paper copy of your statement, you can print it directly from your MyVHC patient portal or by following the “View Balance Details” link in the New Statement notification.

  • Opt-out option: If you want to return to paper billing, you can do so beginning November 4, 2024. Using any links from the “New Statement” notification, go to “Billing Summary” and select "Paperless Preferences.” You can also reach out to our Business Office at 1.800.489.9088 or email VHCcustservice@vhchealth.org for assistance.

  • Paying your bill: There are three ways to pay your bill:
    • Pay online from your MyVHC patient portal
    • Go to Pay My Bill (on the vhchealth.org homepage)
    • Pay by mail: VHC Health, Attn. Billing, PO Box 34840, Alexandria VA 22334-0840

When did paperless billing go into effect?

Paperless billing went into effect for all on November 4, 2024.

Why change to paperless?

Paperless bills are convenient, easy to retrieve, secure, and environmentally friendly. There is no need to file paper copies, and the most current information is readily available. If needed, you may print a statement.

How do I view my statement and bill?

Paperless statements can be viewed from the billing tab on your MyVHC patient portal. Access your MyVHC patient portal via:

  • VHC Health App: Open the app and click on the MyVHC patient portal button
  • VHC Health website: Go to vhchealth.org and click on Patient Portal
  • “New Statement” billing notification: Paperless statements can be viewed by clicking on “View Balance Details” and verifying identity

How will I know I have a bill?

When a new billing statement is ready, you will receive an email or text notification.

May I pay my bill online?

How do I update my preference to receive a paper statement?

From the MyVHC patient portal menu or the “View Balance Details” link in the New Statement notification, navigate to Billing Summary and select “Paperless Preferences.” You may also contact our Business Office at 1.800.489.9088 or email VHCcustservice@vhchealth.org.
