VHC Health Receives US News & World Report's Best Regional Hospital Recognition
Arlington, VA (August 12, 2026) - VHC Health, a leading community-based health system serving the Washington, DC region, is proud to announce its recognition as one of the 2026-27 Best Regional Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
VHC Health currently ranks third in both Virginia and Washington, D.C. with a four out of five-star patient experience rating. In addition, VHC Health received high performance designations in 17 procedures and conditions, including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Back Surgery (Spinal Fusion), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Colon Cancer Surgery and Diabetes.

U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Regional Hospital evaluations help patients across the country find the best care for their health needs. Qualifications are based on patient outcome metrics derived from Procedures & Conditions ratings. U.S. News evaluated 111 hospital systems across the state of Virginia, of which only 23 are recognized as Best Regional Hospitals, VHC Health included.
According to the US News website, these systems “consistently deliver exceptional care across a wide range of medical needs. To earn this designation, a hospital must meet rigorous quality standards.” This honor underscores VHC Health’s unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and delivering the highest-quality outcomes for every patient served.
