VHC Health Establishes $1 Million Endowed Fund to Expand Access to Women’s Health Services
Arlington, VA (April 13, 2026) VHC Health, a community-based health system serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area, announced the establishment of a $1 million endowed fund to support the Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women’s Health.
The endowed fund will provide sustained support for underserved women, ensuring patients can access high-quality care regardless of their financial circumstances. Funding will help expand access to a comprehensive range of services offered at the Center, including breast health screenings and care; fertility and reproductive health services; gynecological exams and surgery; gynecologic cancer care; high-risk pregnancy support; menopause management; pregnancy and childbirth care; and urogynecology treatments.
“I’ve seen how transformational VHC Health’s care is, and this is one way we can continue to reduce barriers and ensure women in our community receive the care they need,” said Charlotte S. Benjamin. “This fund investment reflects our deep belief in equitable access to care,”
The VHC Health Foundation will manage the endowed fund, generating ongoing support for women’s health services across the region.
“When the community comes together to meet a unique need, we can accelerate access to care,” said Amy Ellis Hauser. “Through philanthropy, VHC Health continues to invest in programs that expand access, advance clinical excellence, and meet the unique healthcare needs of women in the community. VHC Health’s ability to serve women today will expand because of this endowed fund, and it ensures that support continues for generations to come.”
The announcement comes as VHC Health expands the Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women’s Health beyond its Main Campus in Arlington, VA. A new location at VHC Health Tysons Pavilion has recently opened, broadening access to comprehensive women’s health services in Northern Virginia.
In 2025 alone, more than 44,000 women received care through the Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women’s Health and related women’s health services at VHC Health.
