VHC Health Partners with HealthTap to Expand Access to On-Demand Urgent Care

Arlington, VA (December 4, 2025) – VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is proud to expand telehealth services through a strategic partnership with HealthTap, a tech-enabled virtual physician practice. This collaboration will enable VHC Health patients to receive on-demand virtual urgent care services from board-certified physicians, further enhancing the continuity and convenience of care offered by VHC Health.

Through the partnership, VHC Health patients can connect with HealthTap’s board-certified physicians via secure video visits, available on-demand and without the need to visit an urgent care clinic. Physicians can diagnose and treat a wide range of common conditions, prescribe medications when appropriate and coordinate follow-up care with VHC Health providers, facilities and care sites to ensure continuity. For patients, this means faster access to trusted care – whether at home, at work or on the go – reducing unnecessary emergency department visits, easing scheduling burdens and creating a more seamless bridge between in-person and virtual care.

This launch marks HealthTap’s first formal collaboration with a health system, following a successful track record of collaborations with health insurance plans, chronic condition management companies, durable medical equipment providers, healthcare cost-sharing entities, consumer brands, pharmaceutical companies, and other organizations to expand virtual care. HealthTap’s rigorous commitment to delivering care through solely U.S.-licensed physicians sets it apart as a high-quality tech-enabled virtual physician practice. HealthTap’s pursuit of clinical and operational excellence was reinforced by successfully earning The Joint Commission telehealth accreditation.
