VHC Health Celebrates Nurses Recognized by the Virginia Nurses Foundation

Arlington, VA (September 25, 2025) – VHC Health, a leading community-based health system serving the Washington, DC region, is proud to share that five of its nurses have been recognized by the Virginia Nurses Foundation’s 2025 Leadership Excellence Awards. Four nurses have been named finalists across multiple award categories, and one has been honored as a Trailblazer for their exceptional contributions to the profession.

The Virginia Nurses Foundation’s Leadership Excellence Awards honor outstanding nurse leaders who embody the values of professional nursing by advancing the profession through innovation, mentorship and advocacy. Honorees are licensed in Virginia, serve patients and families in Virginia or Washington, D.C. and are recognized for their professional excellence, resilience in the face of challenges, commitment to elevating others and a dedication to human dignity, ensuring the strength of nursing leadership for years to come.

The Virginia Nurses Foundation Leadership Excellence Awards Gala will take place on November 15, 2025, at the Renaissance Portsmouth-Norfolk Waterfront Hotel, where finalists and honorees from across the Commonwealth will be celebrated.
