VHC Health Earns 5-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Arlington, VA (September 1, 2025) – VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is proud to announce it has been awarded the 5-Star Overall Hospital Rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This recognition places VHC Health among the nation’s top-performing hospitals for quality of care.

The CMS Overall Hospital Rating evaluates performance across five key areas: mortality, safety of care, readmission rates, patient experience, and timely and effective care. Hospitals are rated on a scale of one to five stars, with five stars representing exceptional performance compared to hospitals nationwide.

In addition, VHC Health earned a 4-Star rating for Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), which measures patients’ perspectives on their hospital experience. The HCAHPS survey provides standardized and transparent feedback to help hospitals continuously improve patient care.
