VHC Health's Dr. Russell McWey Honored with Meritorious Service Award by Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association

Arlington, VA (November 19, 2025) – VHC Health, a leading community-based health system serving the Washington, DC region, is proud to announce that Dr. Russell McWey has been awarded the Meritorious Service Award by the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).

Dr. McWey was recognized with the VHHA Meritorious Service Award for his outstanding healthcare leadership, reflecting a lifetime of dedication to helping others and improving patient outcomes throughout his career, including advancing patient care through minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every part of the body. He has also worked tirelessly to expand access to high-quality health services and strengthen community-based care.

His steadfast commitment has made a lasting impact on the quality, accessibility and reach of healthcare across the region.
