Cystoscopy

Your doctor may do a cystoscopy in the office to look at your bladder and urethra. This test helps find the cause of symptoms like blood in the urine or problems urinating. A tiny tube with a camera lets your doctor see what’s going on inside.

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)

If you have an enlarged prostate, known as BPH, you have many treatment options. They include medications, surgery, and office-based, same-day treatments. Your doctor might recommend one of the procedures below.

Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP)

TURP is a surgery that removes extra prostate tissue blocking the flow of urine. Your doctor uses a scope that goes through the penis and urethra to reach and remove the tissue.

Aquablation

Aquablation is a safe, heat‑free treatment for an enlarged prostate. It uses robot‑guided water jets to remove extra tissue. There’s no incision, and many patients get long‑lasting relief from BPH symptoms.

Robot-Assisted Prostatectomy

If your prostate is very large, you may need surgery to remove it. Using the DaVinci Robot, our urologists can make small cuts. That means less bleeding and a faster recovery than traditional surgery.

Urolift® System

The Urolift System is a quick, minimally invasive treatment that takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Tiny implants hold open blocked areas in the prostate so urine can flow better. Most patients go home the same day and notice relief soon after.

Kidney Stones

Your doctor will help decide the best way to treat your kidney stones. Small stones may pass on their own, but larger ones may need treatment to prevent pain or infection.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)

ESWL is a noninvasive procedure that uses shock waves to break kidney or ureter stones into tiny pieces. The pieces pass naturally in your urine over days or weeks. The treatment takes about 45 minutes, and how well it works depends on the stone’s size, location, and type.

Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)

If you have large or oddly shaped stones, PCNL may be the best choice. Your doctor uses ultrasound and a probe or laser to break up and remove the stones through a small opening. It works well for clearing big stones.

Ureteroscopy

Ureteroscopy uses a thin scope passed through the urethra to reach and remove stones. Many stones are broken first with a laser, then taken out with a tiny tool.

Urinary Incontinence

Once your doctor finds out what’s causing your urine leakage, you’ll choose a treatment plan together. Most men don’t leak urine after prostate cancer treatment, but some may need surgery later on.

Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) Insertion

An AUS helps men who leak urine when they cough, sneeze, or strain. A cuff around the urethra connects to a small pump in the scrotum. Squeezing the pump lets you urinate, and then the cuff closes again to stop leakage.

Sling Procedure

This outpatient procedure places a mesh sling under the urethra to support it and improve bladder control.

Women's Urology Services

We also care for women who have stress urinary incontinence, a slipped pelvic organ, or overactive bladder. Ask us about:

  • InterStim: Places a small device under the skin and sends steady, mild pulses to the sacral nerves to improve bladder or bowel control
  • Axonics: Works the same way as InterStim but uses a rechargeable device designed to last longer
  • Pelvic organ prolapse treatment: Includes traditional and less invasive surgery, including DaVinci robotic surgery
