Sending Gifts to Patients
It’s an exciting time when a loved one gives birth at VHC Health. You may want to send a gift to celebrate and show your support while they’re in the hospital.
Gift Delivery
You can send gifts, flowers, balloons, meals, and other items to the patient’s hospital suite. Many local businesses regularly deliver to the hospital and are familiar with the process.
To ensure a successful delivery:
- Include the patient’s full name and room number (if available) on the delivery.
- Bring or have the gift delivered to the first-floor Information Desk of the Women and Infant Lobby (Zone C) located at:
1701 North George Mason Drive
Arlington, VA 22205
- Security staff at the Women and Infant Health lobby will call the patient’s room. A nurse from the unit will pick up the gift from the lobby and deliver it to the patient.
Women & Infant Health Security
Infant security is a top priority in Women & Infant Health. These visitation and security procedures help protect your newborn:
- All outside deliveries (food, flowers, gifts, etc.) must be picked up in Lobby C of the Women & Infant building.
- Outside vendors cannot enter the Postpartum Unit, NICU, or Labor & Delivery Unit.
