The OB Connect program at VHC Health offers expectant parents a convenient and flexible option for prenatal care. With at-home remote monitoring, you can reduce in-office visits while still receiving expert guidance. Take advantage of the VHC Health OB Connect program, which offers expectant parents like you a more convenient, time-saving and flexible option for prenatal care. VHC OB Connect equips you with at-home remote monitoring equipment, enabling more prenatal appointments—reducing the need to take time off from work or arrange childcare to attend standard appointments.
What's the Benefit?
Convenience at your fingertips.
Instead of attending all 16+ prenatal visits in person, OB Connect allows some appointments to be completed remotely via video with the help of at-home remote monitoring equipment. These visits will be accompanied by a dedicated OB Connect Midwife. Instead of coming to the office for all sixteen or more of your prenatal care visits, VHC OB Connect enables you to do some prenatal visits remotely by video with the help of at-home remote monitoring equipment. These video visits are done with a dedicated OB Connect Midwife.
VHC OB Connect Registration
Registration for the program is $195 and includes all necessary equipment, a water bottle, and notebook. Once enrolled, you will receive an electronic blood pressure cuff and a fetal doppler to monitor your health at home. Two days before each virtual visit, you will send your blood pressure readings and your fetal heart rate through the MyVHC patient portal. Talk to your provider at your next prenatal appointment to see if OB Connect works for you.
Midwifery Services for your Prenatal and Postpartum Care
Many women choose to receive care from midwives throughout their life and pregnancy journeys. Midwives are specially trained to be primary caregivers to women throughout their routine gynecological care and throughout every aspect of pregnancy, from prenatal care to delivery and through postpartum.
VHC Health’s Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM)
VHC Health’s Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) work alongside our OB/GYN’s to provide individualized, evidence-based care to women. Our midwives provide comprehensive pregnancy care, including regular check-ups, monitoring your health and baby’s growth, and ordering blood tests and ultrasounds.
In addition to clinical care, our midwives provide education on nutrition, breastfeeding, and birthing preferences, connecting patients with resources to support their pregnancy and postpartum experience. The midwifery model of care promotes physical and emotional well-being so you can feel empowered and informed.
Currently, our midwives provide outpatient care only and do not attend deliveries.
