The American Heart Association's Family & Friend's CPR Course
The American Heart Association's Family & Friend's CPR course is an instructor led, video-based class that will teach the following skills: Adult Hands-Only CPR and use of an AED; Child CPR with breaths, Infant CPR; and Mild and Severe Airway Block: How to Help a Choking Infant. NO course completion card/certificate.

Anyone may take this course. It is recommended for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job/other requirements. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone interested in learning how to save a life. CPR training sessions involve close physical contact with other students.
Registration Fee: $90 dollars. Registration fee covers up to two people.

PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
This course teaches skills for saving lives after cardiac arrest and is geared for providers in both in-facility and prehospital settings. It requires the inherent performance of physical skills that may be arduous and possibly result in physical strain or injury. You must advise your instructor of any physical limitations, injuries or disabilities that require accommodation at least two (2) business days prior to your scheduled course by sending an e-mail to childbirtheducation@vhchealth.org. Please be aware that you may spend a great deal of time on the floor on your hands and knees.
If you have any medical or cardiac history that may be aggravated by the performance of physical activity, you should consult your physician and ask for advice as to whether you should participate in this course.
CPR/ACLS training sessions involve close physical contact with other students. If you are ill or have an infection, including but not limited to open sores on your mouth or hands, please reschedule your class for your safety and the safety of the other participants.
