During your stay, you can count on compassionate support whenever you need it. Our highly trained, certified lactation consultants will give you trustworthy information and guidance. You’ll learn:

How to build a strong foundation for feeding your baby

Prepare in advance with our breastfeeding classes. They cover the benefits of breastfeeding and what to expect in the early days with your baby.

Breastfeeding Support Groups

Attend our Breastfeeding Support Group for nursing and pumping support. You'll get help and understanding in a nonjudgmental space. Enjoy connecting with other families, receiving encouragement, and learning from an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®). Join us!

Breast Pump Rentals

Rent a hospital-grade Medela breast pump from VHC Health for home use. The pump's technology can help you get as much breast milk as possible and reduce your time pumping.

You can pick up the pump at the Women and Infant Health Administrative Office. You'll find it in the lobby of the Women and Infant Health building at 1701 N George Mason Drive, Arlington, VA.

Does Insurance Cover Pump Rentals?

Most insurance companies offer coverage for breast pump rentals. Check with your health insurance company to see if it covers breast pump rentals. VHC Health doesn't process insurance for breast pump rentals and can't guarantee coverage.
