Joint Replacement Program

When you need joint replacement, choose VHC Health for a comprehensive approach to patient care. Benefit from our focus on excellent surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Attend a Pre-operative Joint Replacement Class

Attend a Pre-operative Joint Replacement Class (required for all patients) with your caregiver.

We recommend taking the class about 4–6 weeks before surgery, but a surgery date is not required to attend.

We offer multiple formats to fit your schedule — complete the online joint replacement class registration to receive class details.

  • Virtual Class – Join from the comfort of your home. Actively participate, ask questions, and interact with the instructor in real time.
  • In-Person Class – Come to VHC Health and attend class on-site with our joint replacement team.
  • On-Demand Video – A recorded version of our class that you can watch anytime on your computer or mobile device. Offers the same information as the live class options and is a great option for caregivers or patients who can’t attend in person.

Joint Replacement Patient Guide

Please download and review our Joint Replacement Patient Guide, which covers both hip and knee replacement procedures.

It includes important information to help you prepare for surgery, understand your hospital stay, and plan for recovery at home.

Bring your completed guide with you to the hospital on the day of your surgery.

    • Total joint replacement – Replaces all or part of a damaged joint with an artificial device made of metal and plastic (a prosthesis)
      • Direct anterior approach for total hip replacement – uses minimally invasive techniques to perform your hip replacement surgery
