Cancer Patient Navigators

You don’t have to figure things out by yourself when you get cancer care and treatment at VHC Health. Lean on our patient navigators when you need someone to talk to who understands cancer care and can make your journey easier.

Support During Your Cancer Care

Patient navigators are trained professionals who understand cancer care and can help you find the support you need. A patient navigator can help you feel less overwhelmed. Connect with one soon after your diagnosis.

Rely on your navigator to take time to explain what’s happening, answer your questions, and help you feel prepared for what comes next. They are the ones you can turn to for guidance, support, and resource assistance.

What Does a Navigator Do?

Your patient navigator can help you and your family:

  • Understand your diagnosis and treatment options in clear, simple terms
  • Know what to expect and what comes next in your care
  • Get answers to your questions and communicate with your care team
  • Find helpful resources and support services at VHC Health or in the community
  • Connect with support groups, workshops, and survivorship resources
  • Get help with financial or insurance concerns
  • Feel emotionally supported, including up to three optional counseling sessions if you think it would be helpful
  • Have someone on your side who can help coordinate your care and speak up for your needs

You're Not Alone

At VHC Health, patient navigation services are built into your care to help you feel supported every step of the way. Our navigators listen, guide you, and help you move forward with confidence.
