Live better during and after cancer treatment with personalized support and survivorship resources at VHC Health.

After a cancer diagnosis, you may feel overwhelmed about what it means for your future, your relationships and your job. Turn to the Cancer Resource Center at VHC Health for a broad range of free support services for you and your family:

• Barbra Marcus Kolton Resource Library, which has books, pamphlets, medical periodicals, a community bulletin board and computer for researching cancer topics
• Counseling to help you cope with cancer
• Navigation services that guide you through cancer care
• Nutrition services, including individual appointments and group classes
• Support groups for patients and families
• Complimentary wigs, scarves, and hats
• Exercise and yoga classes and other events

Survivorship

As you complete cancer treatment, you'll benefit from the survivorship program in the Cancer Resource Center. Enjoy free classes, workshops and support groups that focus on:

• Monitoring your health and preventing cancer recurrence
• Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and weight with good nutrition
• Managing side effects of treatment
• Dealing with concerns about sexuality and intimacy
• Addressing your emotions after finishing treatment

Join staff, fellow survivors and new friends to drink tea, share tips, or discuss a good book. Participate in a cooking class together or knit a cozy scarf. You'll also want to attend an annual Survivorship Party for an evening of dinner, celebration and fun with your family and fellow survivors.
