Virginia Wu, FNP is a family nurse practitioner with VHC Health - Annandale.

Virginia brings varied experience in primary, urgent and emergency care settings. She has four years of experience working as an Emergency Department nurse, both in Washington, DC at MedStar Health, and in Round Rock, Texas. After graduating from Georgetown with her masters degree, Virginia worked as a family medicine nurse practitioner in Austin, Texas, before joining VHC Health Medical Group at the beginning of 2022.

“While I really liked the fast pace of working in the ER, I wanted to get to know my patients long term. Primary care allows me to treat patients across their lifespan,” Wu says.

My doctor was AMAZING ! She took her time to listen to me, she answered my questions gave referrals. She made sure she answered all my questions and she never judge me since it was my first time seeing a doctor in a while.

Virginia Wu was clear in her explanation of concerns and plan. She asked my pronouns at the beginning of the visit. As a trans person, this feels so important to creating a sense of safety and trust for me with a provider. And it was clear it was not a perfunctory question, but an effort to fully see me.

Great experience' this is my second visit with Dr. Wu, and I found it very informative/helpful and useful for providing information to address current minor issues and on recommendations to prevent more serious health issues and improve.
