Swetha Pasala, MD, is a non-invasive and general cardiologist with VHC Health.
Dr. Pasala is a native of Northern Virginia and graduated from the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a degree in Biology with a minor in chemistry, and earned her medical doctorate from the Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, affiliated with the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
During her fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at the VCU School of Medicine in Richmond, VA, she received advanced training in Echocardiography, Cardiac MRI, and Nuclear Imaging. Throughout medical training, she contributed to research on cardiovascular outcomes, imaging, and quality improvement in medicine.
Dr. Pasala has particular clinical interests in advanced cardiac imaging, prevention, and women’s health. She values getting to know her patients and listening to their concerns, ensuring her patients feel confident and reassured with their care plan.
In her free time, Dr. Pasala enjoys running, traveling, being outdoors, playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on her alma mater, UNC’s basketball team. She is excited to return to Northern Virginia to serve the community that she has always considered home.
