Hailing originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Dr. Song thoroughly enjoyed receiving his bachelor and medical degrees in central Virginia. After obtaining is Medical Degree, he decided to pursue a challenging six-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California. He then went on to complete his Microsurgery fellowship in the Pacific Northwest at the University of Washington, one of the premiere programs in the nation.

Dr. Song is an American Board of Plastic Surgery board-certified surgeon. His surgical interests include offering a complete spectrum of reconstruction; both implant-based and tissue-based breast reconstruction, partial breast reconstruction, lymphatic surgery, body contouring, gender surgery, as well as aesthetic surgery. He has authored dozens of peer-reviewed papers and presented his findings at national and international plastic surgery meetings. Ultimately, he is extremely passionate about evidence-based, patient-centered care, and aims to tailor the treatment plan to each individual patient.

Dr. Song is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. He is fluent in English and conversational Mandarin Chinese and is happily accepting new patients. He is excited to return home to his Virginia family and childhood friends after being away for his surgical training. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Song always looks for ways to contribute to his local community both in volunteer work and outreach opportunities.
