Robert A. Shor, MD specializes in general, interventional, and preventative cardiology, as well as echocardiography and cardiac rehabilitation. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. “Virginia Heart’s mission statement of providing extraordinary cardiovascular care in our community resonates with me, especially since I am fascinated by the heart’s integral role in sustaining the body, mind and soul,” he said. “I strive each and every day to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families and am passionate about caring for each individual patient with a desire to prevent rather than treat disease.”

Dr. Shor earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency at Emory University Hospital (and affiliated hospitals), where he also pursued a fellowship in cardiovascular disease.
