Lynsey Owen, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN provider with VHC Health Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Lynsey Owen was born in Maryland and went to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she studied biology and English and captained the college's Division III women's lacrosse team. Before leaving Muhlenberg, she was honored with a commission by the United States Air Force as a part of the Health Professions Scholarship Program. Dr. Owen then attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.
Dr. Owen moved to Boston to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). During her time at BIDMC, she had an academic appointment as a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School and received multiple teaching and research awards.
After graduating from residency, Dr. Owen transitioned to active duty status in the Air Force and was stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. During her time at Andrews, she worked at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. Dr. Owen has been at VHC Health since 2015. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.
Her professional interests include comprehensive obstetric care, adolescent gynecology, and cultivating long-term relationships with patients. Outside of work, Dr. Owen enjoys cheering on the sidelines of her two sons’ various sports teams, lying on the beach with her husband, playing with her boxer dog, staying very active with running/biking/lifting/walking/pilates/yoga, competing in NYT Games, and reading for pleasure.
