Julia Phillips, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with VHC Health’s Surgical Specialties team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She worked as a Medical ICU nurse at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for over six years, specializing in adult critical care and serving as part of the rapid response team. She later returned to the University of Virginia to pursue her master’s degree through their Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
Julia believes in building strong and trusting relationships with her patients and their support systems. Her approach to care is comprehensive, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of healthcare. She strives to ensure every patient feels seen, heard, respected, and involved in their care decisions.
Julia currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and her mini goldendoodle, Scottie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, running, exploring the outdoors, going on walks with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
