Dr. Jessica Reyes, born and raised in the Bronx, New York, graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College. A recipient of the Gates Millennium, Coca Cola, and Seinfeld scholarships, she went on to earn a Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Reyes then completed her medical education at Tufts University School of Medicine. In 2024, she joined VHC Health Medical Group.

Dr. Reyes completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland, where she was part of the inaugural class and served as the first administrative chief. Her professional interests focus on reducing disparities in maternal health and advocating for women's health.

Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Dr. Reyes enjoys traveling, writing, and spending time with her husband, family, and mini-Goldendoodle, Annie.

I was impressed with Dr Reyes's attentiveness when I expressed my concerns about my medical condition, or the proposed exam. It was a two-sided discussion vs the usual I diagnose and proscribe and you listen and doI was so impressed with her bedside manner that I made follow up appointments with another VHC Gyn. I was not disappointed.

Dr. Reyes kindly explained birth control options using a chart on paper. I asked about an FDA approved option I saw online and we discussed side effects so that I make an informed decision.

She explains my options thoroughly, including what to expect in the future, so I can make informed decisions about my health. Her kindness, clarity, and genuine concern for my welfare make her one of the best providers I have ever had.

The doctor was helpful in offering to write referrals or prescriptions, if I needed them. She seemed empathetic and genuinely seemed to care if my chronic conditions were taken care of.

I was so impressed by the thorough and respectful care from Dr Reyes-Peterson. She began the appt by sitting still and asking questions and inviting me to ask her questions. Every time she needed to approach or touch me during the exam, she first explained and asked permission, which I thought was extremely courteous, respectful, and done with my comfort as priority. I was really impressed by her approach to building trust and a sense of equality with her patients. This is so important with ob/gyn medical care!
