Fitore Vula is a board certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner. She began her nursing career at Virginia Hospital Center after graduating from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2013. She worked at Virginia Hospital Center’s intermediate care unit for five years while also working on her nurse practitioner degree. She graduated from the George Washington University with a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2017. Ms. Vula has been working as a gastroenterology nurse practitioner since June 2018. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American College of Gastroenterology.

Ms. Vula moved to the United States in 1999 and attended high school and college in Lexington, Kentucky before moving to the Washington, DC area after college in 2008. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and friends, hike, learn languages (French and Spanish), travel, dance, and bake. Fitore is also fluent in Albanian language.

I had questions about why I was scheduled for this visit. The Dr., was very thorough in explaining to me that based on my previous test result(s) something showed up that called for me to have a colonoscopy. I was very pleased with the care in which she explained it all.
