Luis Dominguez, MD, is a board-certified internist providing comprehensive primary care, specializing in the management of chronic diseases, organ compromise and failure, medical complexity, mental health, and migraines. He believes the best care involves offering tailored treatment plans based on individual patient lifestyles and goals.
Dr. Dominguez earned his medical degree and Master of Public Health from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Jersey City Medical Center (RWJ Barnabas Health), where he served as house-staff representative and lead contract negotiator. Following his residency, he completed a Health Policy Fellowship at George Washington University, during which he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives' Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Healthcare. His work there focused on drug pricing, healthcare insurance models, medical coding, and CMS regulations.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dominguez is involved in public health and health policy. He has co-directed a medical school course on healthcare systems, covering topics such as healthcare finance, insurance, workforce, and the social determinants of health. Dr. Dominguez’s research and expertise have led to numerous publications and academic teaching appointments, with a focus on health equity, policy, and healthcare delivery.
