Dr. Casadaban was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She grew up playing golf which brought her to Mercer University (Macon, Georgia) where she played Division I Women’s Golf while studying to ultimately receive a B.S. in Biology. She returned to Wisconsin to receive her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She went on to complete an OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia. During her residency she was awarded the Wahoo Outstanding Gynecologic Oncology Resident Award. During her studies she performed both clinical and laboratory research investigating the impact of body m ass index on the cost of a hysterectomy as well as proteins that are important for blood vessel formation, respectively.
Dr. Casadaban is very excited to be joining Dr. Piness in practice. She looks forward to establishing lifelong relationships with her patients, while providing excellent obstetrical and gynecologic care throughout all stages of a women’s life. She strongly believes in educating and working together with patients to make personalized health-care decisions. In addition to providing compassionate and well-informed obstetrical care, she has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures including hysteroscopy, ablation, and laparoscopy.
In her free time, Dr. Casadaban enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She also enjoys traveling, golfing, skiing and reading.
