Sonia Amin, MD, is an OB/GYN provider with Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women's Health.
Dr. Amin embarked on her journey in healthcare by earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech before attending the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Amin’s passion for women’s health led her to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. During her residency, she dedicated a significant portion of her training to providing care at the Regional Perinatal Center of Western New York, where she honed her skills and built her confidence in treating high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecologic patients. This diligence led her to receive the Obstetrics Professionalism Award in recognition of her unwavering commitment to demonstrating respect, compassion, and integrity in her interactions with obstetric patients and the healthcare team.
Dr. Amin is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all of her patients. Her clinical interests encompass patient-centered obstetric care, contraceptive management, family planning, and minimally invasive & robotic gynecologic surgery.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Amin finds great joy savoring life’s pleasures: She is an avid traveler, a creative cook, an outdoor enthusiast, and a keen reader of murder mysteries.
