Ama Aidoo, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with VHC Health Cardiology.
Ama is passionate about providing patient-centered care to individuals from all backgrounds. Her journey in healthcare began as a patient care associate while earning her Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University. The experience deepened Ama's desire to support patients in their illnesses and recovery, leading her to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing.
With extensive training in primary care and experience as a cardiac registered nurse, Ama developed a strong interest in preventative care and chronic disease management, particularly concerning cardiovascular conditions. She is dedicated to promoting health and wellness, disease prevention, and building trusting relationships with her patients to enhance their quality of life. Ama believes in addressing healthcare disparities through collaborative care, patient education, empowerment, and advocacy.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing volleyball, taking dance classes, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
