Lauren Burford, FNP-BC, MSN, attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. While at Villanova, Lauren was a member of the women’s basketball team. She graduated in 2016 with a Master of Science in Nursing.

After graduation, Lauren began working as a Family Nurse Practitioner at a Family Practice in Devon, Pennsylvania.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Lauren moved back to the DC area in the Fall of 2019 and joined VHC Health Primary Care - Old Town. Outside of work, Lauren still enjoys basketball, and spending time with her family.

I have been with VHC for primary care for less than 6 months but the experience has been outstanding. Based on my experience this day I came back and recommended the practice to my family that is currently looking for a new PCP.

Lauren was amazing! She has a terrific bedside manner, very friendly, great communicator and excellent listener. She was well prepared and even though this was my first visit, she was well-prepared and knew my file so it felt like she had been my care provider for years. She did a great job of testing the strength of my knee (firm but careful physical manipulation) and as a former college athlete who has been examined by many doctors and trainers, I could tell that she knew exactly what she was doing, which gave me confidence in her diagnosis, which the x-rays later confirmed. Plus, her follow-up call to explain the x-rays was prompt and thorough, just like her examination. I felt like she really cared. Lauren is simply outstanding.
