Alison Mullarkey, FNP

Alison Mullarkey is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the VHC Health - National Landing.

Alison, a native of North Carolina, earned a Bachelor in Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina. After realizing she wanted to pursue a nursing career, she continued her studies earning a Bachelor in Science in Nursing at George Mason University and then graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a Masters of Nursing/ Family Nurse Practitioner in 2008.

Alison joins the primary care team at National Landing with many years of direct patient care experience. Before earning her Master’s, she worked in inpatient general medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Following completion of her master’s degree, she was a Nurse Practitioner at the Medstar Georgetown Wound Center and with over 10 years’ experience at Medstar Georgetown Internal Medicine clinic. She has special interests in preventative care, chronic disease management, women’s health and wound care.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her family including her husband and 2 sons and friends as well as traveling, running, and doing yoga.
