The VHC Health Bariatric and Metabolic Health Center Team presents the annual Bariatric Symposium. This year’s event explores the impact of obesity, current obesity care guidelines, treatment options, supportive care and long-term outcomes.
VHC HEALTH BARIATRIC SYMPOSIUM 2025:
Expect great dialogue about sensitive conversations, advances in technology, and guidance from our comprehensive multidisciplinary team. New and returning participants alike will enjoy this free, half-day event with engaging lectures and panel discussions. The event will be moderated by J.R. Salameh, MD FACS, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Director for VHC Health.
Who Should Attend?
Physicians, advanced practice providers and nurses, behavioral health providers, dietitians, and other allied health professionals. Nursing and medical students are welcome to attend.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the UVA Health Continuing Education and VHC Health.
