Meet the Current Residents

Dr. Anna Eskender, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with an interest in Internal Medicine and Ambulatory Care. She is drawn to VHC’s PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program for its diverse rotations, which offer valuable opportunities to advance her clinical skills and gain unique experiences in patient care. Outside of pharmacy, Anna enjoys giving/receiving of jokes and riddles, spending time outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, and making lasting memories with her loved ones.

Dr. Albeir Messiha graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ahram Canadian University, Giza, Egypt. He received a Master of Science in Medication Therapy Management from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, in 2023. In December 2024, Albeir graduated from the North American-Trained PharmD (NTPD) program at the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Denver, CO. Albeir chose Virginia Hospital Center for its commitment to innovative healthcare solutions, collaborative environment, and strong focus on patient-centered care. Outside of pharmacy, Albeir enjoys travel, volleyball, cooking, and trying different cuisines in addition to exploring new cultures.
